"Heard about CFP or rather Financial Planner? Its nothing but Certified Financial Planner. It is yet another course acronym in Finance domain. You have heard CA, CS, ICWA, then you have the next hyped CFA, then CPA, then CRP and then you have CFP.

Actually speaking good there are more and more careers coming in finance and accounting domain other than the standard courses.

CFP for Financial Planning is offerd by FINANCIAL PLANNING STANDARDS BOARD INDIA [FPSB].

Who is a Financial Planner?

A Financial Planner takes a holistic view of the financial life of people and helps them in reaching the goals they have envisaged. Financial Planning requires a great deal of empathy, an understanding of individuals' ambitions in life, their financial position and an expertise in creating wealth for individuals, by judicious investment. A fast growing population of wealthy professionals, a growing industrial and services sector and the emergence of a number of choices for investments have created significant opportunities for professionally competent financial planners.


What does a Financial Planner do?

A Financial Planner determines his client's short, medium and long-term aspirations, then develops and applies the plan that has been agreed upon. Together the Financial Planner and the client will review the plan at least once a year and revise it if the need arises.


Who employs Financial Planners?

A Certified Financial Planner having been through a rigorous education and experience process is geared to boost client's confidence and satisfaction. Financial Planners often choose to establish their own financial planning practice either by themselves or together with other planners. Others work for:

Blogger's Meet

So the day starts, some how I wake up at 7:30 in the morning, time to go to office..................
Shuckssssssssssss its Saturday man, yeah!!! I know its saturday and I have to go to office. Dunno know who came out with the concept of working on alternate Saturdays. Anyways no point on cribbing till the Green Bills are coming in every month end........

I got this message from Dinesh (dinesh who?) well he is a one blogger man. Very active on blog circuit and Barcamp too. Ok back to the message, that there is a bloggers meet an unofficial one on Saturday 31st May. The venue was Pinstorm Cafe thanks to Netra Parekh.

So I and one of my friends decided to go to this meeting. My friend Prasad Narulkar is also hard core blogger. We discussed a lot whether to go to the Blogger's meet or not. Since the venue was very far from our place. We postponed the decision to go to the Blogger's meet till Saturday evening.............

Goooooooooooooood Morning mumbai was my state when I got up at 7:30am. Trying to rationale why Office on saturday, but Bloggers meet was the motivation......To gove some background currently I am under going my summer internship @ IndiaInfoline a stock broking firm....... I had to collect form from my perspective clients in the morning before i reach to office. So I did that, but it was already 11:00 am, and I was running late to office. One of my friends also promised me an account of Demat and Trading. So I reached office did some formalities to complete the form submission. To collect the second form I had to go to Nerul, but the Blogger' meet was still in my mind. The only thing now stopped me was how am I supposed to go to Santacruz from Nerul. So again I called Prasad whether it was possible for him for the Blogger's meet. Unfortunately he told me that he was in a bad situation at his office @ Vikhroli and could not make for the Blogger's meet...............

Barcamp and Blogcamp the coming...........The veneue is at IIT SJSOM on 29th April..............
The best part it is, this time there are two Barcamps..... It is a combination of Barcamp Mumbai Chapter plus the Blogcamp(Barcamp on Blogging)(http://barcamp.org/BlogCampMumbaiStyle), in the series...... This Blogcamp is the from the organisers of the First Blogcamp conducted at Pune (http://barcamp.org/BlogCampPune)

After the very successful BarCampMU3 chapter, this is a quite huge one..............I think such Blogcamp Mumbai Style amd Barcamp Mumbai are a great medium for socializing, networking, marketing whatever you name it..............At least we come across some like minded people, which after college is hard to find.

Just waiting eagerly to attend it.......................
Dunno will it be possible for me, since we have our college presentations going on Research Papers.

Well currently feeling BarCamp is catching up big time..................
Probably a best platform for enggs and techies.............

Never knew had barcamp for different things like:
Blog
OpenSource
Innovation
MBA

Trying to follow up know.

speaking my mind.......

Really having this dilemma goin on in my mind.
Being very emotional has its problems......
many career options..................
being aggressive????
Thinking of goin back to IT, as it looks I am not fit for anything else.
But then what in IT....................

Thought of starting something on my own.................... But is it the right time.
They say as early as, it is good, some say experience counts....................
I think this education has made me complacent.

Then is this social points growing in my mind - WORK-LIFE Balance.
Probably being more influenced than required.
Actually i am a too much of a thinker, taking everybody's opnion into consideration. And Always try to balance out.

But yes atleast i will be trying to follow BarCamps to get atleast some kind of an acquaintance. Hope this may give me competition.

End of the day decisions are all about make choices and then you have to follow the decision to the last limit

My first Bar Camp

Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! at last, i am back to my tech world. Thanks to lots and lots of people, but the most important my MBA course. Which gave me this orientation that tech is my life and which is rightly depicted in my Pseudonym CYBORG.

Always wanted to be techy, but engg curriculum made me to balance it with studies. Ok so what I topped the college, came 20 in university, no big deal. I am still the same. Had a tremendous interest in Coding, but some could not do it "The Nerd Way". No regrets and enough of cribbing.

Finally doing something about Open Source and one more inquisitive thing. But let me tell you it is the entrepreneurship club that helped me to know about something called as BAR CAMP.

Was also not able to do blogging. Missing it much. But somewhere related to blogging when i introduced the blogging culture in my MBA college. Started 4 blogs. 2 are working. here they are
