Information Diarrhea

I have this habit to to write some important pointers whenever I read it somewhere.
Unfortunate thing is that we cannot keep a common notepad/note book so that we can accumulate those points every time.
So I this time I had Post-It notes with me and I wrote on the following points:

01 - Entrepreneurship
02 - Scientific
03 - Technological
04 - Social Transformation
05 - Research
06 - Educational Contribution
07 - Leadership

Now the problem is I do not remember the context in which I wrote these above points.

Guys if you people can make some rationalization please let me know :)

I call it Information Diarrhea.

CIIE-Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship

Fostering Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship

CIIE(Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship) aims at fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship through incubation, research and dissemination of knowledge. CIIE was setup by IIM, Ahmedabad in 2001 and is supported by Government of Gujarat and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Since CIIE inception, a host of organizations, professionals, academicians and networking partners within India and across the globe have been closely associated with the initiatives of CIIE. Some of the ongoing projects of CIIE are also being backed by Wadhwani Foundation (set up by IT entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, USA), Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (GoI), Piramal Foundation and Microsoft.

Setting up of CIIE was an outcome of the first national workshop on Indian Incubator for Innovation Based Enterprise (I3E) at IIMA in 1998, which brought together innovators, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, technology administrators and academics to understand the processes and policies related to commercializing technology based innovations by individual innovators. Expertise at IIMA in areas of technology network, management, grassroots level innovations and entrepreneurship development, provided the necessary impetus and the intellectual basis for this initiative.

Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship aims at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship development through research, incubation, consultancy and training in hi-tech and mass impact technologies to enhance welfare and competitiveness of the Indian economy. The three main focus area of CIIE include

  • Incubation: To incubate technology based innovations and help commercialize them through an enterprise
  • Research: To conduct research as well as training and develop educational material on topics related to innovations and their evolution into viable enterprises
  • Dissemination: To disseminate research findings and related information on the management of innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship.

forum for entrepreneurs in line of BarCamp

Well this is the firs time I am attending the forum, lets see how it turns out to be.
Will update it after attending the meet or during the meet too.

It is held every second Saturday of every month. It is held by kickstart.in
Every city has its own chapter.
For mumbai chapter : http://startupsaturday.in/index.php?title=Main_Page

KickStart is a not-for-profit initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship. Driven by the popularity and success of Barcamps and Mobile Mondays in Bangalore where some of the founding members of KickStart have been involved with, KickStart has been set up to assist entrepreneurs and encourage entrepreneurship in corporates and universities. Come, be a part of KickStart.

I assume it is on the lines of BarCamp

Why headstart ?
For demonstrators, launching at HeadStart is an opportunity not to just interface with investors but to stand shoulder to shoulder with leading enterprise and entrepreneurial innovators

My first Bar Camp

Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! at last, i am back to my tech world. Thanks to lots and lots of people, but the most important my MBA course. Which gave me this orientation that tech is my life and which is rightly depicted in my Pseudonym CYBORG.

Always wanted to be techy, but engg curriculum made me to balance it with studies. Ok so what I topped the college, came 20 in university, no big deal. I am still the same. Had a tremendous interest in Coding, but some could not do it "The Nerd Way". No regrets and enough of cribbing.

Finally doing something about Open Source and one more inquisitive thing. But let me tell you it is the entrepreneurship club that helped me to know about something called as BAR CAMP.

Was also not able to do blogging. Missing it much. But somewhere related to blogging when i introduced the blogging culture in my MBA college. Started 4 blogs. 2 are working. here they are
1 - http://siescoms.wordpress.com - Life At SIESCOMS
2 - http://siescomsmedia.blogspot.com - SIESCOMS Interactive
3 - http://innovateindia.wordpress.com/ - IDEA REsearch at SIESCOMS
4 - http://ec100807.wordpress.com/ - Entrepreneurship Club at SIESCOMS

So here i am preparing for my first visit at the bar camp being conducted at KJSIEIT Mumbai on 8th March
