Sholay - Film of the Millennium
Sholay is an Indian Hindi film by Ramesh Sippy. Sholay is the biggest hit in the history of Bollywood, India's Hindi film industry. Sholay released on August 15, 1975, Sholay starred Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bhaduri and Amjad Khan. Sholay's, set in the lawless and rugged terrain of central India, is the story of two hired hands, trying to capture a ruthless dacoit by the name of Gabbar Singh.
Sholay is the highest grossing film of all time in India. It has earned Rs. 2,36,45,00,000, equivalent to US$ 60 million, after adjusting for inflation.When first released, Sholay was declared a commercial disaster. Word of mouth convinced movie-goers to give the film a chance and soon it became a box-office phenomenon. Sholay ran for 286 weeks straight (more than five years) in one Mumbai theatre, the Minerva. Sholay racked up a still record 60 golden jubilees across India and doubled its original gross over reruns during the late 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. Sholay was the first film in the history of Indian cinema to celebrate silver jubilee (25 weeks) at over a hundred theatres across India.[1]
In 1999, BBC India declared it the "Film of the Millennium"; Indiatimes movies ranks the movie amongst the Top 25 Must See Bollywood Films. In that same year, the judges of the 50th annual Filmfare awards awarded it with a special award called Filmfare Best Film of 50 Years.

Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia
Wikipedia is a free, multilingual, open content encyclopedia project that was launched in 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, and is currently operated by the United States-based non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Wikipedia name is a portmanteau of the words wiki (a technology for creating collaborative websites) and encyclopedia.
As of April 2008, Wikipedia had over 10 million articles in 253 languages, about a quarter of which are in English.Wikipedia's articles have been written collaboratively by volunteers around the world, and nearly all of its articles can be edited by anyone with access to the Wikipedia website. Having steadily risen in popularity since Wikipedia inception, Wikipedia is currently the largest and most popular general reference work on the Internet.
Critics of Wikipedia target its systemic bias and inconsistencies and its policy of favoring consensus over credentials in its editorial process. Wikipedia's reliability and accuracy are also an issue. Other criticisms are centered on Wikipedia's susceptibility to vandalism and the addition of spurious or unverified information. Scholarly work suggests that vandalism is generally short-lived.
In addition to being an encyclopedic reference, Wikipedia has received major media attention as an online source of breaking news as it is constantly updated.
When Time magazine recognized "You" as its Person of the Year 2006, praising the accelerating success of online collaboration and interaction by millions of users around the world, Wikipedia was the first particular "Web 2.0" service mentioned, followed by YouTube and MySpace.

Big B the Brand - Amitabh Bhachan
Amitabh Harivansh Srivastav on October 11, 1942), is an Indian film actor. He gained popularity since the 1970s and has since become one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema.
Bachchan has won numerous awards in his career, including three National Film Awards and twelve Filmfare Awards. He holds the record for most number of Best Actor nominations at the Filmfare Awards. In addition to acting, Bachchan has worked as a playback singer, film producer and television presenter, and was an elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
Bachchan is married to actress Jaya Bhaduri. They have two children, Shweta Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan, who is also an actor and is married to Aishwarya Rai.

Tribute to Thomas Bata
Son of Tomas Bata(founder of Bata Shoes) also known as Tomas Bata Jr. and Tomáš Baťa ml., ran the Bata Shoe Company from the 1940s until the '80s.
Bata Shoes (Czech: Baťa or Baťovy závody) is a large, family owned shoe company. It is currently headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and operates 4 business units worldwide – Bata Europe, Bata Asia Pacific-Africa, Bata Latin America and Bata North America. It has retail presence in over 50 countries, production facilities in 26 countries. In its history the company has sold 14 billion pairs of shoes.

Thums Up - Taste the Thunder
During late 1970s, the American cola giant Coca-Cola was banned by the Indian government. Following this, the Parle brothers, Ramesh Chauhan and Prakash Chauhan, along with then CEO Bhanu Vakil, launched Thums Up as their flagship drink, adding to their portfolio of older brands Limca (lime flavour) and Gold Spot (orange flavored). Thums Up was basically a cola drink, but the company never claimed it as such. The formula was just as closely guarded as the famous Coke formula. During the same time, the owners of Coca-Cola’s bottling plant, Pure Drinks Ltd., launched Campa Cola and Campa Orange, both of which had a higher dose of carbon dioxide.
The Thums Up logo was a logo showing a red thumbs up hand gesture with a slanted white serif typeface. This would later be modified by Coca-Cola with blue strokes and a more modern-looking typeface. This was mainly done to reduce the dominant red color in their signage. The picture shows the thums up mountain or thums up pahaad(in Hindi)manmad hills which has a natural top like thums up logo and is a popular sight from trains .Its famous caption until the early `80s was, “Happy days are here again”, coined by then famous copywriter Vasant Kumar, whose father was spiritual philosopher U. G. Krishnamurti. Later it was changed to "Taste the thunder!".

Barcamp Mumbai and Blogcamp Mumbai Style
Barcamp Mumbai (barcampmumbai.org) was a fantastic unconference, as they say. It was really an unconference, i liked the unorganising thing, though it was bit problematic. No issues enjoyed a lot.....................IT was at the IIT school of Management Powai...................For all those
Barcamp Mumbai (bardcampmumbai.org) is different from Barcamp MU3(barcamp.org/barcampmu3). MU3 is the universoty edition of Barcamp. It is where Barcamp is conducted in colleges or universities, and where the target audience is limited..................
Today's Barcamp(barcamp.org) was a Mumbai chapter hence the name Barcamp Mumbai Style(barcampmumbai.org) ........... There where hell lot of topics being discussed today.................
I initially thought that I reached late, as I reached Barcamp Mumbai (bardcampmumbai.org) at around 10:30. But fortunately I was at the Barcamp(bardcampmumbai.org) when the Wiki, or the sessions where just scheduled. ..................
Todays Barcamp Mumbai Style(bardcampmumbai.org) had 4 major heads to be discussed.
1 - Startups : where new startup where demoed etc...
2 - Blogging,Web 2.o : Covering blogging, Web 2.0, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SMM etc...
3 - Tech : Covering topics on Hacking Nintendo DS, Creating Wordpress application, Facebook Apllications etc...
4 - Other (Misc) : Covering rest of the topics like Sun Startup(Sun where the major sponsors), etc....
I attended all the Pre lunch sessions at the Startup heads which was at the IRC Audi of IIT SJSOM (the venue for Barcamp Mumbai Style).................

Post lunch, i attended SEO(search engine optimization) sessions, hacking Nintendo DS, Sun Startup(http://www.sun.com/emrkt/startupessentials/index.jsp), tagg.in(tagg.in)................
We had very good lunch, coffee, tea, and fast food provided kudos to the UNorganisers.
But some issues i like to highlight are:
1 - Not all sessions planned where executed.
2 - The planning of the wiki really takes time and the breakfast should be kept simultaneously.
But no hard feelings, it happens. All and all a very fruit full day.....
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaait!!! the best part is yet to be told.........
